Introduced in 1993 as the successor to the original RZ67 Professional, the Mamiya RZ67 Pro II refined one of the most established 6×7 studio systems of its era. It retained the modular body, revolving back and bellows focusing of the original, while adding half-stop shutter speeds, a new micro-fine focusing control and improved internal diagnostics. The revolving back allows rapid switching between horizontal and vertical composition without rotating the camera, while interchangeable backs support 6×7 and 6×4.5 formats.
For professional studio, portrait, fashion and still-life work, the RZ67 Pro II remains particularly compelling because of its control and modularity. Bellows focusing allows close work without adding extension tubes, leaf shutters in the lenses provide flash sync at every speed up to 1/400s, and the large 6×7 negative delivers exceptional detail and tonal range. It is a deliberately substantial camera, but one designed around precision rather than portability.

The Mamiya Sekor Z 110mm f/2.8 is the classic standard lens of the RZ67 system, combining a natural perspective on 6×7 format with a relatively fast f/2.8 aperture. Its optical design delivers strong sharpness, contrast and tonal separation while still allowing noticeably shallow depth of field on the larger negative.
For portrait, fashion and editorial work, the 110mm is particularly effective because it keeps perspective natural while giving enough subject separation to create a more dimensional image. Mamiya Sekor Z 140mm f/4.5 W Macro

The Mamiya Sekor Z 140mm f/4.5 W Macro is the close-focus lens of the RZ67 system, designed for product, still-life, beauty and detail work where precise rendering across the 6×7 frame is important. Its 140mm focal length gives a natural short-telephoto perspective, while the camera’s bellows focusing allows much closer working distances than a conventional fixed-helicoid lens. The original Z version uses a 7-element, 4-group optical design and reaches approximately 0.33× magnification without extension tubes.
For higher magnification, the lens can be paired with Mamiya extension tubes, making it much more flexible for dedicated macro work. It is particularly useful in the studio, where the combination of close focusing, leaf-shutter flash sync and the large 6×7 negative gives excellent control over detail, perspective and lighting.

Mamiya RZ67 AE Prism Finder

The Mamiya RZ67 AE Prism Finder is the metered eye-level finder for the RZ67 Pro II system, adding through-the-lens exposure metering and a more conventional SLR-style viewing position. It provides a bright, upright image and allows the camera to be used more comfortably at eye level, particularly for portrait, fashion and location work.
Its main advantage over the waist-level finder is integrated exposure control. With the RZ67 Pro II, the AE Prism Finder supports aperture-priority automatic exposure as well as manual metering, making the camera faster to operate when light levels are changing or when working away from a controlled studio setup.

The Mamiya RZ67 Pro II 120 Film Back + 120/220 Film Insert is the complete interchangeable film back assembly for the RZ67 Pro II system, supplied with the dedicated 120/220 insert. In normal use with 120 film, it produces 6×7cm negatives and includes a dark slide for safe removal and handling of the back during a shoot.
For professional workflows, the main advantage is speed and flexibility: multiple backs can be pre-loaded with different film stocks and swapped quickly without unloading the camera. The frame counter and film transport system help maintain accurate spacing and reliable film advance throughout the roll.
